Israel Sosa is a Tz'utujil artist who lives and works in Santa María Visitación.  His speciality is working with thin sheets of aluminum to create bas relief sculpture.  This is a method he developed himself.  His art focuses on Mayan themes.  In the photo below, he is working on a reproduction of the sarcophagus lid of Pacal the Great.
